Horizons symposium 2026: (Nano)catalysis

12 - 13 November 2026, London, United Kingdom

Introduction

Welcome

Join us for this exciting in-person symposium hosted by Materials Horizons a²Ô»å Nanoscale Horizons

The symposium will showcase a wide variety of cutting-edge catalysis research at the intersection of materials and nanoscience. With topics ranging from the design and synthesis of catalytic materials, to mechanistic insights and in-situ and operando techniques.

We warmly invite you to join us in November 2026 and look forward to welcoming you to the event.

About the symposium

Leading researchers and emerging investigators from a broad range of backgrounds will come together to explore and celebrate the theme of the 2026 Horizons symposium: (Nano)catalysis

Oral and poster presentation opportunities are available to researchers of all career stages, and we invite you to submit an abstract to make your contribution. The conference promises to be a great forum for researchers across materials and nanoscience to network and build strong collaborations.

Join us for some exciting discussions and to share your ideas with key members of the international materials and nanoscience community.

This symposium will feature research over a range of topics, including (but not limited to):
  • Nanoparticles for catalysis
  • 2D materials in catalysis
  • Electrocatalysis
  • Photocatalysis
  • Photoelectrocatalysis
  • Water splitting
  • Catalysis for energy
  • Single atom catalysis
  • Nanocluster catalysis
  • Heterogeneous catalysis
  • Sustainable catalysis
  • Synthesis of nanomaterials for catalytic applications
  • Structure-function relationships of catalytic materials
  • Characterisation of catalysts
  • Catalyst discovery via machine learning and AI
